This 90-minute presentation is part of our monthly STEP meeting. I will cover the much-dreaded topic of PFIC, including how to identify PFICs, exceptions to the PFIC rules, and the tax consequences and planning opportunities for PFICs. Members and non-members may attend and lunch will be included. CPE available.

I will go over the key international tax law changes under TCJA with an emphasis on the participation exemption, transition tax, and GILTI. This will be a similar presentation to PTI but in a much smaller setting. This event is hosted by Accounting & Finance Women’s Alliance (AFWA).

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
