M Squared has partnered with Guild Mortgage to present on US taxation of foreign real estate investments. I will cover common US tax issues faced by foreign buyers/sellers, the use of different types of holding companies under TCJA, and FIRPTA rules.

I will go over the key international tax law changes under TCJA with an emphasis on the participation exemption, transition tax, and GILTI.  There will be other interesting and relevant topics covered in this conference, including Mark Hugh’s discussions on the Wayfair case.  CPE available.
